The PIP implant scandal rumbles on. For the estimated 400,000 women worldwide who received these implants, the advice varies from country to country. Sweden has become the latest country where patients are being advised to have them removed for preventative reasons, unless there are medical reasons for not doing so. However advice in other countries such as the UK is that PIP implants don’t pose a long-term risk to human health.
Though we have never used PIP implants at The Aesthetic Institute, if you are concerned that you may have received them from another clinic or surgeon, please call us on 01 491 5738 for more information or to schedule a consultation with the Consultant Plastic Surgeon.
