The Aesthetic Institute is the only clinic in Ireland to offer Vectra 3D Imaging. This is an integral part of our breast and facial augmentation and is used for some non-surgical consultation.
How it works
-Your surgeon will take some special 3D images using VECTRA.
-This takes all but one minute, just like having your photograph taken.
-You will then sit down with your surgeon in front of the computer monitor and he will adjust your photos using simulation tools that change the size, shape and position of your breasts, for example, to achieve your desired appearance.
-Using Vectra 3D imaging allows you to see, from all angles, how you will look following your surgery or procedure. It also enables you to discuss the images with the surgeon until the desired appearance is met.
Vectra 3D Imaging System Technology
The Vectra 3D Imaging System that your surgeon will use during the consultation was developed by Canfield Imaging Systems a division of Canfield Scientific, the leading provider of clinical imaging systems. Canfield specialises in photographic applications for aesthetic medicine, and their products are used in patient consultations by thousands of practitioners worldwide.
The Vectra 3D Camera
The Vectra 3D camera captures three-dimensional photographs of the patient. Using multiple cameras, it takes a number of pictures simultaneously from several different points of view. This is used to build a 3D virtual model of the subject.
Sculptor 3D Software
The 3D photograph is processed by Sculptor software to display the virtual model on a computer monitor. It can be rotated on the screen and viewed by you from almost any angle. Once you are satisfied with the result, your surgeon will develop a surgical plan based on the changes that you have both made resulting in your desired look.
